about

Our first collaboration with Joe Logan, from Texas. Really enjoyed working with his beats - and we plan to do some more work together.
The lyrics take Janette back to a German Winter in '82, when she made a friend in the Erlangen University Choir.. They both still sing!
For Benedikta, with love.

lyrics

Choirgirls

Seven years since I last saw you, my girl
Here you are, suddenly back in my world again

We were young, on our own and far from home
It was cold and the old town deep with snow
Candlelight and the choir held back the dark
In our eyes and our hearts we lit a spark

Your cinnamon-speckled face
in golden candlelight
Mandarin and sandalwood
in golden candlelight
We wet and wove the straw
in golden candlelight
We both created stars
in golden candlelight

Oh we sang our hearts out
Yeah, we sang, we sang
Girl, we sang our hearts out
We still do, me and you

Your cinnamon-speckled face
in golden candlelight
Mandarin and sandalwood
in golden candlelight
We wet and wove the straw
in golden candlelight
We both created stars
in golden candlelight

We felt we're into an era in our lives where Bette Davis' quote about getting older (it's "not for pussies") felt very apt - and our music reflects this - and the experience of having lived a little! ...
